WHAT TO EXPECT

INITIAL APPOINTMENT

Your first step to becoming a SABT patient is an initial in-office appointment
with Dr. O’Brian and/or Dr. Baucom!

  • Pricing:
    $600 for dogs
    $400 for cats
    $750 for inter-dog aggression (bringing two dogs into the appointment)
    $600 for inter-cat aggression (bringing two cats into the appointment)

  • Time Commitment: Each initial appointment is in person at our office and 90-minutes, allowing Dr. O’Brian and/or Dr. Baucom and a veterinary assistant to review your pet’s history, establish a diagnosis, and discuss a treatment plan.

  • Next Steps: Following your 90-minute initial appointment, you will receive a full report detailing the plan and instructions to help with your pet’s behavior. Your primary care veterinarian will also receive a copy of the report. After the initial appointment, clients will receive 30 days of email follow-up to address concerns and questions and make adjustments to the treatment plan as needed. After the 30 days period, a recheck either in person or via video telemedicine will be necessary to re-evaluate the plan and renew the 30 days of email follow-up support.

FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENT OPTIONS

Re-check appointments occur after your initial appointment to follow up with your pet’s care and are highly recommended for the best possible outcome. The timeline of recheck appointments will vary based on your individual pet’s needs. SABT has two different types of follow-up options after your pet’s initial appointment:

  • 30-Minute Follow-Up Virtual Call:

    • $200 for cats and dogs

    • These video calls will be used to discuss brief changes to your pet’s plan. Examples include reviewing medication side effects or providing an update on a recent departure for a pet with separation anxiety

    • These video calls are available for the first five months after an initial appointment. After this time, one 45-minute recheck will be required for follow-up.

  • 45-Minute In-Clinic Follow-Up Appointments:

    • $300 for both dogs and cats

    • These appointments are required every 6-months for ongoing prescription refills. You are welcome to make them at any point if you prefer in-person appointments.

    • These appointments allow us to assess our progress and adjust as needed.


      ONE-ON-ONE TRAINING APPOINTMENTS

One-on-one training appointments are available for our behavior clients.

  • IN OFFICE Package of Five 45-minute Training Sessions:
    $700 ($140 per session)

  • IN HOME TRAINING Package of Five 45-minute Training Sessions:
    $900 ($180 per session)

  • VIRTUAL Package of Five 45-minute Training Sessions:
    $650 ($130 per session)

  • ONE Single Session Virtual or In Office
    $200

  • ONE Single Session In Home
    $250

60-MINUTE VETERINARY VISIT PREP APPOINTMENTS

  • Pricing: $300 for cats and dogs

  • What to Expect: Many dogs and cats experience fear during veterinary visits. Dr. O’Brian or Dr. Baucom will develop a plan for future veterinary handling and work with your veterinarian to facilitate less stressful veterinary visits for your pet.

  • Who are These Appointments For: These appointments are intended for dogs and cats who have difficulty in the veterinary setting.

  • If you have other concerns (reactivity to dogs or people, separation-related issues, etc.), please schedule a full canine or feline behavior appointment.

GROUP TRAINING

  • Group training will be available to any dogs. Dogs attending group classes need to be tolerant of other dogs and non-aggressive towards people.

    Class options include: Puppy Kindergarten, Adolescent, Trick Training, Rally, Canine Good Citizen and MORE!
